Laurent Longin
Laurent is a Partner at Meraki Search Group. His experience is a unique combination of executive search and global corporate executive roles over the last two decades.
He started his career in consulting at one of the largest global executive search firms, working first in the Paris, then Brussels and finally Chicago office. He was hired by one of his clients, Owens Corning, to help find key executive talent as the company was in full transformation. After returning to search for a couple of years, he again joined a client of the firm and has since then led Talent Acquisition – as well as other functions within HR – for Belk, Duke Energy and Ally Financial. Across these various roles, he demonstrated his ability to deliver talent in critical roles with a focus on executives who deliver value for shareholders.
Over the years, Laurent has always brought integrity, focus, service and passion to his executive recruiting work. He is considered an industry expert in executive talent acquisition leadership & strategy development. He has proven success driving talent strategies and working with business leaders to support the business. A trusted partner to leaders, he advises on labor market conditions, location & risk analysis, competitive intelligence and global talent.

Laurent currently serves on the Central Piedmont Community College Foundation Board. He is the past Chair of both the Electric Utilities Talent Acquisition Group and the Conference Board’s Executive Council on Talent Acquisition.
Originally from Paris, France, Laurent is a graduate of St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN, with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He received his MBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor. Laurent is married to Dr. Heather Longin – a Charlotte Top Cardiologist. They have two children and reside in Charlotte.
